Subject: Announcement
Dear RSA Colleagues
As you know, one of the Assistant Secretary ' s critical priorities is to
facilitate collaboration across RSA, NIDRR, and OSEP to advance OSERS '
goals such as successful transition of young people with disabilities,
improved employment outcomes, and independent living.
Leveraging our resources through our grants, projects, and personnel, is
instrumental in achieving optimum collaboration.
To initiate this process, two leaders have been selected to act as change
agents to bring their expertise and perspective to ensure that grants
support and drive shared OSERS ' goals.
Ruth Brannon will move to RSA to lead the Training Programs Unit within the
Training and Services Program Division and Tim Muzzio will lead NIDRR ' s
Research Sciences Division. Ruth will bring her knowledge of and experience
with rehabilitation research across the NIDRR portfolio to help support RSA
' s programs and Tim will bring his understanding of RSA programs to assist
NIDRR in crafting priorities that support OSERS ' programs. Building on our
work and creating a more cohesive team will benefit all of OSERS and, more
importantly, the children and adults with disabilities that we serve.
Please join with me in welcoming Ruth to RSA and in thanking Tim for his
contributions to RSA. We wish Tim well and look forward to working together
with him in his new role.
